The James Bay Winter Road is operated and managed by First Logistics, a division of Kimesskanemenow LP, a limited partnership between the four First Nations of Attawapiskat, Fort Albany, Moose Cree and Kashechewan. The word kimesskanemenow is a Cree word which means ‘our road’.
